Jacob cake book

Jakob Christoph Cake Book elicited the first notes of the cello at the age of four. Since then he has been enthusiastic about music and art of all kinds, first learned in Weimar from Philine Teige and as a young student from Prof. Tim Stolzenburg at the music high school Schloss Belvedere and then studied with Prof. Bernhard Gmelin at the HfMT Hamburg, with Prof. Thomas Demenga at the Musik-Akademie Basel, with Prof. Miklós Perényi at the Franz-Liszt Academy in Budapest and in the soloist class of Prof. Conradin Brotbek at the HfMDK Stuttgart.

He received in-depth impulses in historically informed performance practice at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Petr Skalka and at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg with Prof. Vittorio Ghielmi, with whom he has been studying viola da gamba since 2020.

Numerous concerts, recordings and festivals have taken him as a chamber musician and soloist with a wide variety of instrumentations and programs throughout Europe:
On steel and gut strings, searching for the "original sounds" and ideas of the Renaissance and the Baroque, the classic-romantic core repertoire and the young visions of contemporary performances.
